Day 0 - Travel Day
My mom (91 years young) and I are heading to Churchill Canada on the southern edge of the Arctic to see the polar bears as they make their way to the ice of Hudson Bay for the winter. We’re traveling Natural Habitat/World Wildlife Fund. You can also follow the daily Churchill Polar Bear Reports here.

Leaving at 0’ dark:30 makes for some beautiful sunrise photos taking off from Logan!
We are in Winnipeg for a couple days, staying downtown. We walked from our hotel through the Union Train Station to the Forks Market for lunch. The Union Train Stations was designed by the same person who designed Grand Central in NYC. It’s wonderfully full of art decco touches.
And our first meal in Canada…. POUTINE of course!
Then back to the hotel to get our parkas and boots from Natural Habitat and to relax in the room. Tomorrow we tour Winnipeg!
